Congratulations on becoming
a member of the Marching Comets. This will be a year that
will be ground breaking for the CHS Band program and hopefully one you
will remember for a long time. With
help from the top designers in the country next year’s season will be the
start of a new era of excellence.
In order for the season
to be successful, every staff member, student, and booster must plan ahead. Over
the summer we are planning rehearsals to not only give students an early jump
on the music and marching, but more importantly to form the camaraderie between
students. I do not expect families to adjust their summer vacations around the
summer schedule. However, if you are in town you are expected to attend. Both
weeks of band camp is required for all students who do not want an alternate
spot.
Being part of the band will teach one many things. Time management, teamwork,
work ethic, and a sense of urgency are life long lessons you will learn. These
are all traits that are needed to be successful in high school and life. Thank
you for becoming a part of the family that has grown in number and rich in
tradition.

rehearsal starts during the month of August.
Rehearsals are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6:00-8:30.
All students are expected to be at all rehearsals for the month of August.
Please plan vacations accordingly.
